Getting an early start to his 2021 season, David Seibers made the trek to East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) on Monday afternoon piloting his G.P.S Motorsports No. 18 Late Model for the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a stout field of 76 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Seibers recorded an eighth place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. For another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature on Tuesday, David failed to transfer out of his heat race, giving him one last shot at the A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place second or better, Seibers logged a 10th-place finish.

On Wednesday afternoon, Seibers posted an 11th place outing in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the $7,000-to-win A-Main, David fell short with a 10th-place outing.

The following night, Seibers came in 11th in his heat race, leaving him with one last shot at the A-Main with a consolation event. Needing to finish second or better, David was the first retiree from the 10-lapper on the fourth lap.

In a field of 77 Late Models on Friday, David followed up the 37th fastest lap in his time trial group with an 11th place finish in his B-Main. Transferring into the B-Main, Seibers posted a 10th-place finish, bringing an early end to his night.

On Saturday, the team departed from Tampa and headed to Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) for the Valvoline Iron-Man Racing Series-sanctioned Cabin Fever. Drawing 43 cars, David failed to qualify for the A-Main via his qualifying effort. Locking the Top 4 into the $4,000-to-win A-Main, Seibers scored a fourth-place finish, which positioned him 19th on the starting grid for the show. He ended up pulling off early from the 40-lapper on lap 13. (Josh James Artwork)
