Seibers lands second place finish with Crate Racin' USA at Clarksville

David Seibers visited Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.) on Thursday evening piloting his S.M.S. Plumbing No. 18 Late Model for the Crate Racin’ USA-sanctioned Salute to America Nationals. Laying down the fastest lap overall in a field of 23 cars, Seibers locked into the pole position for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. After getting shuffled back early in the 40-lapper, David battled back to finish second behind Corey Dunn with Wil Herrington, Levi Ashby, and T.J. Brittain rounding out the Top-5.

The following night at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) for the J. Paul Smith Memorial, David logged the 16th fastest time in qualifying before placing third in his heat. With $3,000 on the line, Seibers moved forward early but overheating issues on lap 21 forced him pitside. He was credited with a 13th place outing.

On Saturday afternoon at Fort Payne Motor Speedway (Fyffle, Ala.), Seibers locked his spot into the $4,000-to-win A-Main with the third fastest time overall in time trials. After a handful of restarts in the feature, Seibers pulled off to find a dry-sump fitting was lose. Even though the field had failed to complete a lap, race officials rejected David’s return to the track. The early departure resulted in a seventh place finish.
